I argue that Labour cannot campaign on being Reform Lite; voters who want that will… simply choose Reform. Instead, Andy Burnham should make a positive case for (controlled) immigration - combatting abuses of the asylum system but also leaning into Britain as a magnet for talented people from around the world.
